Major Sam Cochran consults with CIT Trainer, Deputy Chris Douglas, and CIT Training Actor, Dominic Kanaventi, who are both active in BSF's CIT work. They provided a mental health de-escalation scenario for the NIC national online training for corrections. Barbara Schneider Foundation meets with officers at Minneapolis Police Department during Police Station Visitors Week
On October 18-24, 2010, 6,293 visitors participated in Police Station Visitors Week. The station visits took place in 276 cities, spread across 21 countries stretching from Bangladesh to Brazil, Nepal to Mexico, Russia to Uganda. For many of the visitors, the experience provided their first real access to local law enforcement and a platform for expressing their views about how well or poorly the station is serving their community.
On April 5th and 6th, 2011 IDC hosted Altus’ annual conference on Citizen-Centric Police Station Reforms in Amritsar, Punjab, India. The conference presented the results of PSVW 2010 and the top scoring stations were honored at an award ceremony
